City Centre Vibrancy

City Centre Vibrancy

In September Sheffield City Council decided the city centre could do with spicing up a little, so they commissioned Rationale to bring something unique to the streets. The result was Hiphop Theatre in the High Street! Rationale performed hiphop theatre short stories and dance performances on Fargate and The Moor to unsuspecting saturday shoppers! Crowds of people stopped in their tracks to see Rationale spin, roll, twist, turn and somersault their way through witty short theatrical stories that left shoppers completely mesmerised. A highlight of the day proved to be the “BHS Maniquines”. This saw members of Rationale posing as maniquines that that came to life and danced in BHS shop windows! To add a new dimension to the experience shoppers were encouraged to interact with the manaquines through the window giving a whole new meaning to the term “Window Shopping”. Watch out for more crazy antics from Rationale coming to a city centre near you!
